You will monitor contractor performance, maintain accurate compliance records and escalate issues where standards are not met, supporting effective assurance and inspection readiness. You will also provide technical advice to managers and operational colleagues, support service improvement initiatives and help embed a strong culture of safety and compliance. While you may assist across wider compliance services where required, you will retain a clear specialist focus in fire safety as a subject matter expert.

You will have experience delivering or supporting fire safety compliance within a local authority or social housing environment, with strong knowledge of fire safety requirements and health and safety practices. A recognised fire safety qualification (such as NEBOSH Fire) is essential, and professional membership is desirable.
