The Shift Manager will take responsibility for up to 10 Warehouse staff and provide support to peripheral operations at the customer premises. You will be expected to manage end of line processing, loading of trailers, transportation to off site trailer exchange facility and associated communication with partners. Responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising and reporting upon the work activities of the team; providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training, and development. The primary function of this role is to maximise the performance of the operation by directing the daily and weekly activities, providing leadership, motivation, training, and development of colleagues, executing against customer requirements and operational performance. Always ensure excellent customer service.
Ideally you will have experience in working in a management capacity for a 3rd party logistics provider.
- Direct the daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for team members.
- Monitor performance and accuracy of employees.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and promptly enabling daily operational targets are met.
- Deliver team member performance reviews, development and/or succession planning as appropriate.
- To ensure all required equipment is available and in safe working conditions. Defect reporting is maintained and monitored for compliance.
- Support and manage customer, resolve any issues or queries relating to stock, transport.
- Responsible for managing orders through Adecco and P&G systems within a specified KPI time frame.
- Ownership of the daily supply export loads, QTY of loads and times.
- To ensure the smooth control of Track & Trace including training, resolving, and reporting any issues where appropriate.
- To manage KPI reports.
- To ensure that all staff comply to health & safety regulations and QA policies.
- Continuous improvement involvement on site initiatives and projects.
- Ensure compliance to Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
- Ensure company policies are communicated, applied, and enforced.
- To fully understand and apply all QA processes, particularly to P&G QA Key Element 11 Storage and Handling of Finished Product, ensuring pallets of the highest standards are dispatched on behalf of the customer.
- Manage HR policies such as disciplinary and grievance, attendance, and performance management.
- Preparation of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
- Local project management (site level).
- Hold valid FLT / DDT licences.
Additional Responsibilities: Must be able to cover evenings and weekends on call if required.
Required Shift Pattern: Mon - Wed x 12 Days (36 hours), Mon - Wed x 12 Nights (36 hours), Mon - Thur x 12 Days (48 hours), Mon - Wed x 12 Nights (36 hours).
