We are currently recruiting for an experienced Service Design & Transition Lead to join a major transformation programme within a leading financial services organisation. This role will play a key part in supporting the organisation's strategic ambition to become a Tier 1 bank in EMEA and meet the regulatory expectations of the European Central Bank (ECB).
The successful candidate will lead the end-to-end service design and introduction lifecycle, ensuring all new or changed services are operationally ready, compliant, resilient, and aligned with both regulatory and internal standards.
- Proven experience within Service Design & Transition in a regulated financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of ITIL v4 service management frameworks.
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation programmes within banking or financial services.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Service Design & Transition
- Lead the full service design and introduction lifecycle for ECB programme deliverables.
- Develop and implement Service Design Packages (SDPs) for new and changed services.
- Ensure services are designed for resilience, scalability, and operational supportability.
- Ensure all service components including SLAs, OLAs, support models, monitoring, and runbooks are in place prior to go-live.
Programme Support
- Act as the service readiness lead for regulatory deliverables.
- Support the implementation of operational resilience and service continuity capabilities.
- Ensure traceability of service design decisions against ECB regulatory requirements and internal audit standards.
Service Management Process Development
- Support the implementation and maturity of Service Design and Introduction processes across EMEA.
- Develop governance standards, templates, and workflows for service onboarding and transition.
- Contribute to training and awareness sessions across delivery and operational teams.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage with stakeholders across Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Business teams.
- Facilitate service readiness reviews and go/no-go decisions.
- Ensure operational teams are fully equipped to support new services.
- Drive improvements to service introduction processes and tooling.
- Support implementation of monitoring, alerting, and reporting aligned to ECB expectations.
ITIL v4 Certification. Project Management certification. Experience with Visio and SharePoint. Background in enterprise architecture or solution design. Experience working with Japanese or Asian financial institutions would be advantageous.
