Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, and pack mechanical components and finished goods, ensuring they meet our high standards.
- Work independently from drawings or build instructions to create exceptional products.
- Oversee the assembly area, ensuring a clean, safe, and organised workspace.
- Provide training and guidance to junior assembly technicians, sharing your expertise and best practices.
- Conduct thorough inspections of parts and identify defects during the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with the team to identify potential areas for process improvement and communicate these opportunities effectively.
- Set up and operate testing equipment, ensuring that sub-assemblies and finished products comply with specifications.
What You Bring
- A minimum of three year's experience as a mechanical assembly technician, ideally with supervisory experience.
- A basic education including GCSE level C or above in Maths and English Language; a recognised apprenticeship or relevant BTEC is preferred.
- Strong fault-finding skills with the ability to repair basic parts as necessary.
- The capability to read and understand schematics, diagrams, test plans, and process documents.
- A keen eye for detail, with the ability to maintain production timelines and report discrepancies as needed.
