We're looking for a meticulous and proactive Records Officer to join our Children's Services team.

This is your chance to play a key role in safeguarding information and ensuring smooth access to critical records that support the wellbeing of children and families across our borough.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Maintain and improve electronic and paper records systems across Children's Services.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and retention policies.
  • Coordinate Access to Records requests and liaise with internal teams and external agencies.
  • Support data quality and integrity on the MOSAIC system.
  • Provide reports and insights to senior managers and contribute to statutory returns.
  • Lead on archiving, scanning, and retrieval of sensitive records.
  • Champion a culture of excellent information and records management.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong administrative experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using the MOSAIC system.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise effectively.
  • Knowledge of data protection legislation and confidentiality protocols.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Confidence in supporting colleagues and improving data processes.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in Children's Services or a similar setting.
  • Experience using MOSAIC (desirable)
  • Ability to analyse and improve current systems and workflows.
  • Familiarity with Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests.
