Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Our client is seeking a dedicated Personal Advisor Leaving Care to join their dynamic team. This role offers a competitive salary of £23.27 per hour for 36 hours per week, with the opportunity to support up to 25 young individuals.
Helping young people transition from local authority care to independent adult life, offering practical, emotional, and educational guidance on housing, jobs, finances, and well-being until age 25, ensuring they have a plan and support to build successful independent lives.
Key Responsibilities:- Planning: Developing a Pathway Plan with the young person, covering future goals.
- Housing: Helping find safe, suitable accommodation and offering support to stay with foster carers if desired.
- Education & Employment: Assisting with training, further education, job searching, and interview skills.
- Financial Literacy: Teaching day-to-day money management and accessing benefits.
- Well-being: Promoting physical and mental health, building relationships, and ensuring stability.
- Liaison: Connecting the young person with other services (health, education, DWP).
- Advocacy: Encouraging their views and ensuring their rights are met.
- Relationship Builders: You excel at building rapport and maintaining strong professional relationships with young people and partner agencies.
- Sensitive Supporters: You provide empathetic guidance while respecting the experiences of young individuals.
- Strategic Thinkers: Your strong problem-solving skills enable you to navigate complex situations effectively.
