Join Our Team as an EE Low Voltage Systems Engineer!
Location: Crewe - Pyms Lane
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days on site per week - flex on which days, 35 hours per week

We are on the lookout for a talented EE Low Voltage Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of automotive technology.
What You'll Do: As an EE Low Voltage Systems Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing, integrating, and validating Low Voltage Systems across various exciting projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing & Validating: Design and validate low voltage components, ensuring they meet customer and vehicle requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Electrical & Electronics, Whole Vehicle, Body & Trim, and Motion Engineering teams.
- System Management: Oversee hardware and software management, including circuit diagram approval and supporting function development.
- Compliance & Safety: Engage in Functional Safety and Golden Rules activities to ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Supplier Coordination: Manage suppliers and collaborate with VW group engineers to deliver robust low voltage systems for future vehicles.
- Documentation & Reporting: Provide comprehensive information on low voltage systems to production, logistics, and project management teams.
Key Deliverables:
- Validate base software for Low Voltage Energy Management.
- Deliver Functional Safety Documentation Sign Off.
- Introduce and validate platform changes as needed.
What You Bring:
- Strong understanding of Low Voltage Systems and components, including energy management software, starter motors, alternators, DC/DC converters, and 12V battery technology.
- Familiarity with high voltage systems and their interaction with low voltage systems.
- Proficiency in battery charging technologies, diagnostic testers, and knowledge of battery CCA/C20 standards.
- Experience with CAN, Flexray, LIN bus systems, and Vector Tools (CANape, CANoe, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills in electronic and electrical fault finding.
- Experience in writing electronic system specifications and understanding of processes.
Qualifications:
- An Engineering Degree is required.
- High Voltage training/qualification is a plus.
- German language skills are desirable.
