Overview
In this role you will shape and deliver high-impact government products within CustomerFirst, starting with transforming DVLA’s medical licensing service. You’ll unite cross-functional teams to turn insight into action, balancing strategy with hands-on delivery. You’ll define vision, roadmaps and priorities, while fostering agile approaches and product maturity across programmes. This is a mission-driven opportunity to improve public services at scale through data-driven, user-centred product leadership.
Responsibilities
- Define product vision, strategy and roadmaps to deliver measurable outcomes for users and the organisation
- Lead multidisciplinary teams through all stages of the product lifecycle
- Champion Agile and Lean practices and experiment with new ways of working
- Turn customer insight and data into clear product priorities
- Coach and build product management capability; establish best practice across CustomerFirst programmes
- Support partner organisations to adopt modern, outcome-focused delivery approaches
- Develop strong stakeholder relationships and align teams around shared goals
- Drive discovery, delivery and continuous improvement with evidence-based decisions
- Deliver reusable approaches and tools to strengthen future Delivery
Key requirements
- Significant experience leading complex digital products, services or transformation programmes
- Experience delivering impact in complex, fast-moving and ambiguous environments
- Strong track record of setting product strategy and delivering measurable outcomes
- Experience using user research, insight and data to inform decisions and prioritisation
- Expertise in roadmap development, lifecycle management and outcome measurement
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and championing agile ways of working
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to influence at senior levels
