The Role: As a Junior Business Development Manager, you'll play a vital role in our growth journey. This is a fantastic opportunity for ambitious individuals looking to develop their careers in a supportive and fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Achieving Sales Targets: Consistently meet and exceed individual sales goals and KPIs.
- Market Monitoring: Stay ahead of industry trends and generate exciting new leads.
- Sales Cycle Management: Manage deals from prospecting to close and maintain ongoing client relationships.
- Building Relationships: Cultivate strong client connections by understanding their commercial objectives and aligning our solutions.
- Driving Inbound Leads: Contribute to strategies for generating leads through eblasts, social media, and website promotion.
- Upselling and Reselling: Take charge of upselling to existing clients, ensuring their needs are met promptly and to high standards.
- CRM Management: Keep detailed records of activities, market feedback, and pipeline to assist in product development and forecasting.
- Collaboration: Work closely with customer success, editorial, and marketing teams to design and track effective campaigns for our clients.
Who We're Looking For:
- Experience in a B2B sales role, ideally in media sales or an exhibition/conference environment.
- Knowledge of the pharma/biotech sector is a plus!
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in new business and account growth.
- Strong consultative sales experience with a knack for developing complex, bespoke proposals.
- Ability to learn quickly about new sectors or technologies to build trust with prospects.
- A collaborative spirit focused on delivering successful outcomes for clients.
- Exceptional sales skills, customer focus, and time management abilities.
