Requirements

  • An HNC/D or equivalent qualification in a business-related area, or relevant proven experience.
  • Understanding of the audit function and working knowledge of information technology.
  • Ability to identify threats and vulnerabilities to information security.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with staff at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Force area and occasionally outside it.
  • Welsh language skills at Level 2 (verbal and written) are beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Information Standards and Compliance.
  • Assist in supervising the Information Standards and Compliance Section to help ensure resilience in staffing.
  • Conduct audits to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Force information systems.
  • Provide guidance and advice on information security issues to Divisional Commanders, Heads of Departments and the public.
  • Monitor and review existing information security procedures.
  • Investigate security incidents and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of information security training.
