Are you an experienced education leader with a proven track record of raising standards, driving school improvement, and building strong partnerships across the education sector? We are seeking an exceptional Head of School Performance and Partnerships to join our client's senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in improving outcomes for children and young people across their borough. This is a rare opportunity to influence educational achievement on a system-wide scale, working across the full education age range from early years through to post-16 settings.
About the Role
As Head of School Performance and Partnerships, you will provide strategic leadership for school performance, standards, attainment, and inclusion across the borough. Working collaboratively with maintained schools, academy trusts, system leaders and wider partners, you will lead initiatives that drive improvement while ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive. You will be responsible for:
- Leading on school performance, standards and attainment across the borough.
- Maintaining oversight and support of maintained schools.
- Developing and strengthening strategic relationships with academies, trusts and education partners.
- Championing inclusion, safeguarding and positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Providing leadership oversight for key education services, including: SEND and Inclusion Support Services, Virtual School, Educational Psychology Services, Commissioned School Improvement Services.
- Supporting the delivery of the council's wider education strategy and priorities.
About You
We are looking for a credible and influential education leader who combines strategic vision with a deep understanding of educational improvement. You will likely bring:
- Significant senior leadership experience within the UK state education sector.
- A background as a Headteacher, Executive Headteacher, School Improvement Leader, Director of Education, System Leader or similar.
- A strong track record of delivering measurable school improvement and raising educational standards.
- Experience of working effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, including schools, academy trusts, elected members and partner organisations.
- A commitment to achieving high standards while promoting inclusion and equity.
- The ability to influence and lead across complex educational systems and partnerships.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and leadership skills.
Most importantly, you will be able to clearly demonstrate your own impact and achievements in improving outcomes for children, schools and communities.
