We are working with an exceptional charity to appoint a Head of Partnerships & Events to join their high‑performing fundraising leadership team. Following a sustained period of growth, the charity is investing further in its philanthropy and corporate fundraising capability and is now seeking a senior, relationship‑driven fundraiser to help take two high‑value income streams to the next level.
Reporting to the Director of Fundraising & Communications, the Head of Partnerships & Events will play a key leadership role across the fundraising department, with responsibility for shaping and delivering a high‑value corporate partnerships and special events programme. This is a hands‑on role combining strategic leadership, people management and direct relationship ownership, working with some significant six‑figure partners and a strong pipeline of warm, values‑aligned prospects.
- Leading and developing the charity's Corporate Partnerships and Special Events strategy
- Personally managing a portfolio of high‑value and strategic partners, including relationships at senior and board level
- Oversight and growth of flagship events, including a prestigious annual gala and a high‑value golf day
- Playing a central role in the stewardship and development of the organisation's Philanthropy & Corporate Board
- Collaborating closely with peers across fundraising, marketing and communications to maximise income and engagement
- Contributing to department‑wide strategic planning and decision‑making
With strong foundations already in place, the organisation aims to grow partnerships and events income from c.ÂŁ1.5m to ÂŁ2m over the coming years, within a wider voluntary income target of ÂŁ5-6m.
This opportunity will suit an experienced, confident fundraising leader who enjoys building meaningful relationships and can operate comfortably at senior stakeholder level. You are likely to bring:
- Significant experience in corporate partnerships, philanthropy or major gifts fundraising
- A proven track record of securing and managing five‑ and six‑figure relationships
- Experience leading and motivating teams to deliver ambitious income targets
- Strong strategic thinking alongside a practical, delivery‑focused mindset
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills
- A collaborative approach and genuine passion for mission‑led work
- Experience of leading high‑value special events is desirable, but not essential for candidates with strong transferable partnership or philanthropy experience
