If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for a dedicated and professional Fleet Coordinator to join a growing team.

In this permanent position, you will play a vital role in ensuring their fleet remains safe, compliant, cost-effective, and operationally ready to support business needs.

What You'll Do

  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the company fleet, ensuring vehicles are available to meet operational demand.
  • Coordinating vehicle allocations, returns, replacements, servicing, and repairs.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for drivers regarding vehicle defects, breakdowns, accidents, and general fleet queries.
  • Scheduling and managing MOTs, servicing, inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Liaising with garages, leasing providers, insurers, tyre suppliers, and other external partners.
  • Maintaining accurate fleet records, ensuring compliance with legislation, company policies, and audit requirements.
  • Conducting driver inductions, licence checks, eyesight checks, and other driver compliance activities.
  • Managing vehicle accidents, insurance claims, penalties, and incident investigations through to resolution.
  • Monitoring fleet-related costs including fuel, repairs, tyres, insurance, leasing, and fines.
  • Supporting health and safety initiatives by maintaining fleet-related equipment records and promoting safe working practices.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve fleet efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance operational performance.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within a fleet, transport, logistics, or operational coordination role.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of vehicle compliance, maintenance schedules, and fleet operations.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with fleet management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with drivers, managers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and remain organised in a busy operational environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing issues.

Desirable

  • Experience within a service, construction, engineering, utilities, or contractor-based environment.
  • Knowledge of telematics systems, fuel card management, and fleet compliance processes.
