Location: East London

Job Details

  • Pay Frequency – paid weekly every Friday.
  • Pay Rate – option of PAYE (£18.92p/h, no fees, annual leave accrued) or Umbrella (£25.40p/h, fees incurred, no annual leave accrual).
  • Shifts – Monday to Friday, 2PM‑10PM (job and knock – finish early, paid for full shift). After break deductions, paid 36hrs per week standard.

Duties – To drive a dustcart vehicle for a local borough council as part of the waste team. Candidate will work with a crew and be designated a route within the borough, collecting domestic, commercial and green waste from residential and commercial areas. Once the route is complete, the crew will return to the local tip to dispose of the waste. Must adhere to traffic regulations and company policies at all times.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid manual UK Driving Licence (category C for HGV Class 2)
  • Valid UK Driver Card (digital tachograph)
  • Valid UK Driver Qualification Card (CPC)
  • Strong understanding of road safety and traffic regulations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team

Desirable

The client would prefer candidates with previous experience driving dustcarts or rear‑steering vehicles, but this is not essential.
