My Client, a leading investment bank is looking for an experienced Analytics Governance Analyst to join their growing Data Office as part of a major regulatory transformation programme. This is a high-impact role focused on strengthening reporting governance, controls, and compliance, with particular emphasis on BCBS239 requirements and improving oversight of EUC (End User Computing) reporting environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the assessment of the current reporting landscape (including EUC/Excel-based outputs)
- Identify and document Key Data Uses (KDUs) and reporting artefacts across the organisation
- Analyse: Inputs feeding reports, Controls and governance frameworks in place, How reports are used for business decision-making
- Perform gap analysis against BCBS239 standards and internal governance policies
- Define and track remediation plans to enhance reporting governance and control effectiveness
- Support the development and maintenance of a centralised KDU/reporting catalogue
- Work closely with stakeholders across Risk, Finance, and Technology to embed governance standards
- Contribute to reducing EUC reliance and improving consistency and control across reporting
Key Requirements
- Strong experience in analytics governance, reporting governance, or EUC governance
- Proven track record working on BCBS239 or regulatory data/reporting programmes
- Experience conducting current-state assessments and control gap analysis
- Strong understanding of reporting processes, data flows, and controls
- Hands-on experience with data governance tools, ideally Collibra
- Background in financial services (banking preferred)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Desirable
- Experience working within EUC/Excel-heavy environments
- Exposure to data catalogue, metadata, and reporting inventory management
- Familiarity with Power BI / Tableau
