We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company based in Medway. The role is varied and hands-on, ideal for someone who enjoys working on a wide range of bespoke components in a busy manufacturing environment.
The Role
As a CNC Programmer/Machinist you will program, set up and operate CNC machinery to produce high-quality, precision-engineered components from customer drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Programming, setting and operating CNC machines
- Producing components to exact drawing specifications and tolerances
- Carrying out in-process and final inspection of parts
- Performing multiple tool changes and machine adjustments per shift
- Deburring and finishing components as required
- Working to production targets while maintaining quality standards
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Collaborating within a small, hands-on team
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in CNC programming and machining
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- Competent using measuring equipment and completing quality checks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
