We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Care Technology Officer to join the Transformation and Digital Service within a Shared Staffing Arrangement across the London Boroughs of Wandsworth and Richmond. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative service delivery, using technology to help residents live safely and independently in their own homes. You will play a key role in assessing, installing, maintaining, and promoting care technology solutions while working collaboratively across services and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out care technology assessments, installations, and risk assessments across both boroughs
  • Work closely with the Joint Control Centre (JCC) and service delivery partners
  • Promote care technology solutions across social care teams, health partners, and community organisations
  • Review and adapt technology packages to ensure they meet service user needs
  • Maintain and repair equipment, arranging replacements where necessary
  • Support and train frontline staff on care technology processes and referrals
  • Deputise for the Care Technology Manager, including delivering induction training
  • Respond to enquiries from residents and stakeholders, providing expert advice
  • Monitor system reports and auto-tests to ensure equipment is functioning effectively
  • Manage user records within the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) system
  • Oversee stock control and ordering of equipment
  • Stay up to date with the latest care technology developments

About You

  • Experienced in care technology, assistive technology, or a similar field
  • Comfortable working independently across multiple locations
  • A strong communicator, able to engage with a range of stakeholders
  • Organised, with experience managing records, systems, or stock control
  • Adaptable and confident working across differing processes and teams
  • Knowledgeable in systems such as Mosaic (desirable)
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for residents through innovation
