Analytics Engineer - 6 Months - Inside IR35 - London / Bristol

Our client, a leading telecoms organisation in the search for an experienced Analytics Engineer to join a high performing data and analytics team.

This role will focus on designing and building analytics-ready data models, enabling self-service reporting, and delivering trusted datasets that support strategic business decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable analytical data models and reporting datasets.

Translate business requirements into robust, analytics-ready solutions.

Build and optimise SQL-based transformations within cloud data platforms.

Develop semantic models and data layers to support reporting and BI tools.

Work closely with stakeholders to define business metrics and reporting requirements.

Support the delivery of self-service analytics capabilities across the business.

Required Experience

Proven experience in an Analytics Engineer, Data Modeller or similar role.

Strong SQL skills with experience building analytical data models.

Experience working with cloud data platforms such as GCP/Big Query.

Strong understanding of dimensional modelling, star schemas and data warehousing concepts.

Experience developing reporting datasets and enabling self-service analytics.

Ability to engage with business stakeholders and translate requirements into data solutions.

Desirable

Experience with Looker, Look ML or similar semantic modelling tools.

Experience with dbt and modern data stack technologies.

Background within customer, consumer, commercial or telecoms analytics environments.

Python scripting and automation experience.
