What You’ll Do:
- Design, implement, and manage server and storage technologies.
- Collaborate with a team of specialists in a 3rd line capacity, ensuring security standards are met.
- Monitor system performance and maintain service availability using tools like SolarWinds.
- Provide 3rd line support for IT incidents, communicating effectively with staff at all levels.
- Participate in solution options analysis and product selection for new systems.
Core Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain hybrid server and storage technologies.
- Plan and document effective infrastructure support.
- Ensure data security through patch management and access control.
- Work closely with the Information Management Unit and Security Specialists to implement best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud infrastructure (essential).
- Familiarity with virtualisation technologies such as VMware (essential).
- A background in working within an ITIL Framework (desirable).
- Ability to diagnose faults and provide technical support (essential).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Essential Qualifications:
- An industry accreditation such as MSITP/MCSE/MCSA (desirable).
- A degree or equivalent in a technology discipline (desirable).
- Full UK driving licence (desirable).
