Join Our Team as a Quality Improvement Lead! Are you passionate about quality and driven to make a difference? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Our client, a leading organisation in the engineering sector, is on the lookout for a dedicated Quality Improvement Lead to join their Non-conformance Management team in Lincoln. This is a fixed-term, full-time position for 12 months, offering an hourly rate between £30.00 and £40.00.

Your Mission: As the Quality Improvement Lead, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality culture within the Small Gas Turbine (SGT) business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating Problem Solving: Lead and coach teams in effective problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Process Improvement: Enhance tools and processes for better non-conformance management.
  • Training & Development: Conduct training sessions on problem-solving techniques and tools.
  • Governance & Guidance: Provide essential guidance and governance for non-conformance management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with functional leads to foster a culture of quality excellence throughout the organisation.

You will be instrumental in achieving non-conformance cost (NCC) targets and KPIs, ensuring that all areas are aligned and working toward common goals.

What We're Looking For: We seek a motivated individual who thrives on challenges and is eager to contribute to a robust quality management system. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Essential Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage with all levels of the organisation. Proven experience interfacing with diverse departments, including project and design teams. Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and influence outcomes positively. A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a knack for working independently.
  • Desirable Skills: Background in the engineering or manufacturing industry. Familiarity with quality management systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential: Graduate-calibre candidate with a solid foundation in problem-solving and investigation techniques. Experience facilitating workshops and training sessions. Proficiency in data interpretation and metrics.
  • Desirable: Experience in proposing and implementing quality solutions. Familiarity with non-conformance management processes and structured improvement projects. Knowledge of data tools like Tableau and non-conformance software.
