Adecco are pleased to be recruiting for a Safeguarding Coordinator to work within the Leicestershire Police Force.

Location: Leicester

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: £16.46 per hour

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday, Office based

End Date: February 2027

Additional Information: You will be required to undergo Management Vetting (MV) and Security Check (SC). Applicants must have 5 years of continuous residency in the UK.

About the Role: As a Safeguarding Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of both adults and children at risk. You will conduct risk assessments, efficiently review and process reports and referrals, and collaborate with partner agencies and internal stakeholders. Your analytical skills will shine as you research and compile essential reports, and your communication abilities will be key in attending multi-agency meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for safeguarding reports and referrals.
  • Research and interrogate police systems to compile accurate reports.
  • Attend multi-agency meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
  • Manage workflows and referrals, ensuring timely and effective responses.
  • Provide safeguarding guidance and advice to police colleagues.
  • Identify high-risk cases and escalate appropriately.
  • Actively engage in developing efficient processes within the Safeguarding Hub.

What We're Looking For: To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A-Level education in English Language or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a confidential environment and safeguarding issues.
  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen effectively.
  • A knack for problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in multi-agency working and understanding safeguarding legislation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
