Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a critical programme focused on National Infrastructure Security (NIS), Cyber Security, Physical Security and Information Security. In this role you will deliver multiple projects simultaneously that protect critical national infrastructure from evolving security threats. You'll be leading multiple interconnected projects within a wider programme, balancing competing priorities, managing shared resources, and ensuring successful delivery in a highly regulated environment. This role is best suited to a Project Manager who is relationship-driven rather than purely administration-focused—someone who can bring structure and governance while remaining focused on solutions, delivery and stakeholder engagement.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading multiple projects across cyber, physical and operational security workstreams.
- Building and maintaining robust project plans, risks, dependencies and governance.
- Managing stakeholders at all levels, many of whom have limited experience working within formal project structures.
- Coordinating resources across several concurrent projects to minimise conflicts and delivery risks.
- Translating complex technical and security-related concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
- Driving delivery outcomes while maintaining strong project controls and governance.
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering multiple projects within a larger programme.
- Strong understanding of at least one of the following: NIS, Cyber Security, IT Security, Information Security or Physical Security, with the ability to quickly understand the wider security landscape.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience working within a regulated environment (energy, utilities, critical infrastructure or similar highly desirable).
- Comfortable maintaining project artefacts, risks, plans and reporting (MS Project and SharePoint preferred).
- An inquisitive, delivery-focused mindset with the ability to tease out the detail needed without becoming lost in technical complexity.
