Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the finance function to provide timely management information and support decision-making within our client's organisation.
- Utilise your financial reporting expertise to generate accurate and insightful monthly management accounts, meeting agreed deadlines.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations and month-end transactions, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
- Oversee the work of processing staff for purchase and sales ledgers, providing guidance and support when needed.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns for review and ensure accuracy in the company's system used for production costings, stock, and customer management.
- Collaborate closely with department heads and the Retail Finance team to enhance financial processes and reporting.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills to effectively engage with internal stakeholders and external parties.
- Show proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong keyboard skills and attention to detail.
- Display exceptional people management and influencing skills to drive positive outcomes.
- Embrace a solution-focused mindset and a willingness to tackle complex tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements when handling sensitive information.
