The Wood Laminate Picker is responsible for accurately selecting, collecting, and preparing wood laminate products for customer orders and production requirements within a warehouse or distribution environment. The role involves working safely and efficiently to ensure products are picked correctly, quality standards are maintained, and dispatch deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick wood laminate boards, panels, flooring, and related materials according to picking lists and customer orders.
- Verify product specifications, quantities, dimensions, colours, and batch numbers before dispatch.
- Safely handle laminate products to prevent damage during picking and transportation.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks, hand scanners, and forklifts (where licensed and authorised).
- Package, label, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
- Assist with stock replenishment and inventory control activities.
- Maintain accurate records using warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanning devices.
- Load and unload deliveries as required.
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, and equipment issues to supervisors.
