Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) with overtime opportunities available. Flexibility is key! Shifts may not rotate weekly based on business needs.
Salary: Starting at £13.00 per hour (equivalent to £25,350 per year). Pay increases to £15.60 per hour (including shift allowance) upon permanent contract transition (equivalent to £30,420 per year).
About the Role: As a Multi-Skilled Production Operative, you’ll engage in a variety of tasks, including:
- Fabric welding, cutting, industrial sewing, assembly, and packing.
Your focus on quality, safety, and timely delivery will be crucial in meeting our high standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out a variety of production tasks including welding, cutting/slitting, sewing, and assembly work to a high standard.
- Consistently deliver accurate, high-quality work while meeting customer deadlines and production targets.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team, whilst also demonstrating the ability to operate independently when required.
- Read and interpret work sheets and engineering drawings to ensure precise execution of tasks.
- Use computer systems to record data and complete order processing efficiently.
- Operate machinery safely, maintaining a strong focus on quality and attention to detail at all times.
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and fully compliant with Health & Safety regulations.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work under pressure with a positive and flexible attitude.
- Strong Health & Safety awareness.
- Customer-focused mindset.
- Forklift experience is a bonus but not mandatory.
- Basic CAD-style drawing reading skills required.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Must be prepared for a physically demanding role.
