Our client is seeking a talented professional to join their team in London. As the Lead Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the modernisation and stabilisation of the legal aid data landscape. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and enabling the migration of legal aid data to our client\’s Analytical Platform. Collaborating closely with Analytics Engineering colleagues, you will support the development of a flexible data model that ensures seamless data access for analysis. Your expertise in python, SQL, and jinja will be vital in designing and developing efficient data pipelines. To succeed in this position, you should have experience leading and enabling a team of data engineers, ensuring best practises are followed. Strong engagement skills are also essential as you will be interacting with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to maintain productive relationships. Required Skills: Excellent python, SQL, and jinja skills Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms Proficiency in orchestration tools, such as airflow Strong leadership abilities, guiding a team of data engineers Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, preferably with GitHub Actions Up-to-date knowledge of latest developments in data engineering Experience in designing and developing data pipelines Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills Working knowledge of dbt and implementing best practises Desired Skills: Experience with infrastructure as code, particularly Terraform Apply now and join our client\’s organisation on a 6-month contract as their Lead Data Engineer.
