About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a dynamic Logistics Account Manager to join their team. This is an exciting chance to be the main point of contact for customers, ensuring excellent service while managing the fast-paced day-to-day operations.
In this role, the successful candidate will build strong customer relationships, collaborating closely with warehouse, transport, and operational teams to ensure seamless logistics processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of customer accounts
- Build strong relationships with clients
- Understand customers' products, processes, and business needs
- Coordinate deliveries and orders
- Liaise with warehouse teams
- Monitor service levels and operational performance
- Produce reports and participate in customer meetings and reviews
- Investigate and resolve operational issues, stock discrepancies, and delivery delays
- Identify potential risks and implement solutions
- Support product launches, promotions, and seasonal peaks
- Seek opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Ensure accurate invoicing and account administration
- Assist with customer onboarding and account development projects
About You
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and customer-focused, with previous experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience within logistics, warehousing, fulfilment, freight, supply chain, or a similar environment
- Previous experience managing customer or client accounts
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Good understanding of logistics operations
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
- Commercial awareness and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or logistics software
- Self-motivated and a team player
Desirable Experience
- Background in a 3PL environment
- Knowledge of international freight or import/export processes
- Familiarity with KPIs and service level agreements
- Understanding of customs procedures or bonded warehousing
- Experience analysing operational data and producing reports
