Requirements

  • Operations experience in IT infrastructure support, with understanding of networking and databases
  • Experience in Disaster Recovery and operational resilience
  • Broad understanding of IT infrastructure at level 3 support
  • Experience creating, reviewing, or maintaining runbooks and technical documentation
  • Strong documentation and administrative skills
  • Good communication skills and confidence in chasing stakeholders for updates
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Basic IT infrastructure understanding
  • Flexibility to support out-of-hours or weekend testing activities
  • Desirable: exposure to DR/BC or resilience
  • Desirable: familiarity with COBIT or ISO standards
  • Desirable: Service Now experience

Responsibilities

  • Support Disaster Recovery and Operational Resilience initiatives
  • Review and improve DR procedures and recovery documentation
  • Coordinate resilience testing and disaster recovery exercises
  • Work with infrastructure, application, and service teams to validate recovery plans
  • Manage and maintain operational runbooks and technical documentation
  • Track actions and keep documentation up to date
  • Liaise with stakeholders across multiple technology teams
  • Support regulatory and governance requirements relating to Operational Resilience and Disaster Recovery
  • Help improve resilience processes across critical business services
  • Assist in planning and coordinating IT recovery and scenario-based testing exercises
  • Support execution of recovery tests, including weekend activities where required
  • Track test progress, capture outcomes, and ensure actions are documented
  • Collect and organise validation evidence following tests
  • Maintain and update IT recovery plans, procedures, and runbooks
  • Support consolidation of fragmented documentation into standardised formats
  • Ensure documents are version-controlled and accessible during disruption scenarios
  • Assist in building a centralised repository of recovery artefacts
  • Produce post-test and post-incident reports using standard templates
  • Track remediation actions, risks, and issues raised from tests or incidents
  • Support development and maintenance of KPIs and KRIs for IT recovery
  • Assist with trend analysis across incidents and test outcomes
  • Assist in maintaining IT resilience controls and evidencing compliance activities
  • Support periodic review of TRR-owned controls
  • Track remediation actions through Problem Management or risk systems
  • Provide support for audit and regulatory requests
  • Support development of IT recovery test scenarios and a scenario catalogue
  • Assist in documenting testing methodology and processes
  • Contribute to improving realism and coverage of testing scenarios
  • Liaise with IT Infrastructure teams, Application teams, BCM, Operational Resilience, and Cyber teams
  • Support coordination of inputs required for testing, reporting, and remediation
  • Assist in tracking cross-team deliverables and dependencies
