We are currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client, a long-established industrial company based in Ipswich! This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stable role with strong long-term progression!
Salary: Β£36-42K (DOE)
Hours: 08:00am-16:00pm (Mon-Fri)
Role Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned mechanical maintenance and respond to breakdowns across a range of Pneumatic and Hydraulic machinery.
- Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and identify opportunities to enhance reliability and performance.
- Ensuring preventative and predictive maintenance schedules are completed.
- Plan and support major shutdowns, overhauls, and scheduled outages.
- Manage contractors coming on site on specific jobs and engineering projects.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in safety, environmental performance, and plant availability.
What Are We Looking For?
- Previous experience in a mechanical maintenance engineering role within manufacturing, industrial, or process environments.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding, diagnostics, and repair capability.
- Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance systems.
- Ability to work safely and effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
- Relevant mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ etc).
