We are happy to be recruiting for one of our high-profile financial services clients. They are currently looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis. Overview of the Role: The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for delivering effective communication plans and activities that engage, inform and inspire employees across the company. You will support the delivery of our internal communications strategy, manage our internal communications channels, and help to create and deliver content which is timely, relevant and engaging. Role Responsibilities: Advise leaders and stakeholders across the business on internal communications approaches and messaging. Work with the People Team to help communicate People initiatives, policies, reward and recognition, and support our diversity, inclusion and wellbeing priorities. Deliver communications to support and help to drive and embed our cultural priorities Maintain the company-wide SharePoint communications site, working with content owners to ensure it\’s clear and audience-focused. Write and produce feature stories and supporting assets for delivery on company employee communications platforms. Help to design, arrange, and deliver a variety of colleague events such as Town Halls, Mic Drops and Open Mics (both virtual and in-person). Use a data-driven approach to internal communications measurement with an ability to evaluate and report on progress, with a focus on impact, results, and recommendations for future improvements. Lead on the analysis and development of our communication channels. Lead on the analysis and development of the measurement of internal communications activity, linked to our core KPIs. Bring creative approaches, fresh thinking and insight to challenge our existing ways of working and processes, driving greater impact. Responsible for the identification, mitigation, management, reporting and escalation to accountable Head of Service of risks, and responsible for the operation of relevant controls. Knowledge & Experience: Relevant experience in a similar role. Excellent writing skills, including editing and proof-reading. Experience of writing for a variety of audiences. Proven experience in executing successful internal and change communications campaigns. Creative thinking with a strategic mindset. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and develop relationships across all levels of the organisation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including editing and proofreading. Ability to tell a story and translate ideas into effective campaigns. Proficiency in using digital technology to support in content creation and campaign delivery. Event management. Good understanding and working knowledge of digital communication and collaboration tools including Office 365 Teams and SharePoint. Strong attention to detail and outstanding organisational skills.
