We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Manufacturing Cleaning Operator with our client, an innovative organisation near Leeds. If you have experience working in a production environment and possess the ability to work with small parts, disassemble, clean, and reassemble them in the correct sequence, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities
As an Industrial Cleaner, you will report to the Traction Supervisors and ensure the efficient cleaning, preparation, and painting of motors and gearbox components in an industrial manufacturing environment. Your role will involve:
✔️ Timely cleaning of industrial components with the aid of COSHH assessed substances, while working to strict deadlines
✔️ Using dry ice blasting equipment or industrial wash machines to clean motors, gearboxes, and miscellaneous components
✔️ Moving and preparing materials as necessary to support production activities
✔️ Recycling (and/or reusing) waste/consumable materials as per Company requirements
✔️ Taking responsibility for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) by ensuring control measures are in place, supporting the zero harm culture, and actively reporting near misses, accidents/incidents
✔️ Participating in continuous improvement activities and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the production area
✔️ Contributing to quality, cost, and delivery performance targets set by the company
What we\’re looking for
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
Experience in a production environment
Ability to work with small parts and follow technical instructions and/or diagrams
Previous use of power tools, ideally blast machinery for cleaning of surface materials
Any mechanical knowledge would be beneficial
Previous experience as an operator or working in an assembly or manufacturing process would be highly advantageous
Cleaning experience is not necessary as all training will be provided
Please note that random Drugs & Alcohol testing is undertaken at the site and a medical and Drug and Alcohol test will need to be passed prior to anyone can start on site.
