Are you ready to take your quality inspection skills to the next level? Our client, a leader in the Aerospace industry, is seeking an enthusiastic and detail‑oriented Incoming Quality Inspector to join their dynamic team at the Electronic Controls and Motor Systems (ECMS) site.

Role Purpose

As an Incoming Quality Inspector you will play a vital role in inspecting incoming pieces for R&D electric motors and controllers, ensuring that only the highest quality components enter the production line.

Summary

  • Start date: ASAP
  • Duration: 6 months ongoing
  • Location: Shirley, Solihull
  • Pay Rate: £30‑£35.00 per hour (via Umbrella)
  • Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday – 4 days required on site

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough goods‑in inspections, review dimension reports from suppliers and segregate non‑conforming materials.
  • Use precision measurement tools (vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges) and interpret technical drawings/CAD models.
  • Maintain adherence to customer requirements and AS9100D standards.
  • Generate inspection reports, keep meticulous records, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Notify supervisors and stakeholders promptly of serious defects, including photos and detailed notes.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in aerospace, automotive, precision engineering or other regulated industries.
  • A strong mechanical or electrical background applicable to daily tasks.
  • Proficiency in manual measurement techniques; familiarity with CMM or Faro arms is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AS9100 standards.
  • Familiarity with ESD environments.
  • Knowledge of SAP and CMM systems.
