We're recruiting on behalf of an innovative, technology-led engineering company operating at the forefront of precision Design. This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a high-performing team and play a key role in developing cutting-edge products from concept through to production.
The Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take ownership of design activities across multiple projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, precision-engineered solutions.
- Leading mechanical design across new product development projects
- Producing detailed 3D CAD models and assemblies (SolidWorks)
- Creating high-precision engineering drawings for manufacture
- Applying design-for-manufacture (DFM) principles and liaising with suppliers
- Supporting prototyping, testing, and design verification
- Collaborating with electronics, software, and manufacturing teams
- Providing technical support to production and driving continuous improvement
About You
We're looking for a proactive and technically capable engineer who thrives in an innovative environment. You will ideally have:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in a mechanical design role
- Strong SolidWorks or 3D CAD skills
- Experience working to tight tolerances and precision standards
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage your own workload
