About the Role

As a Customer Service Officer, you'll be the first point of contact for residents, employees, and members accessing council services through multiple channels. You'll play a key role in resolving enquiries, offering guidance, and empowering residents to access services online, while providing holistic support to those who need it most.

What You'll Do

  • Provide accurate information, assistance, and guidance to residents, businesses, and partners.
  • Resolve enquiries at first point of contact wherever possible.
  • Signpost customers to other agencies when appropriate and take a holistic approach to their needs.
  • Support residents with digital services, including registering accounts and completing applications.
  • Process transactions and manage service requests in line with Service Level Agreements.
  • Offer cover for Localities Officers when required to ensure service resilience.
