A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Homeownership Assistant to join one of Adecco's most improved public sector housing clients in a full-time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday), temporary role for the next 3 months. The permanent salary would be £29,000 per annum.

Based in Epsom, Surrey, for 2 days each week (with 3 days working from home after the induction period), this role is ideal for a junior housing professional eager to progress their career and learn about leasehold services.

Responsibilities include supporting the Homeownership Manager to provide a professional housing management service, ensuring lease obligations and statutory requirements are met. Key duties involve:

  • Providing and maintaining an effective administration system for leasehold management, including updating processes, standard letters, and ensuring policies are followed.
  • Processing leasehold enquiries from solicitors and leaseholders, including Notices of Assignment and Charge, consents for alterations, and sub-letting requests, with updates to databases and files.
  • Being the first point of contact for shared owners, leaseholders, and freeholders, advising on leasehold matters, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Supporting with service charge setting, collection, and arrears recovery, ensuring legal compliance.
  • Collaborating with Finance, Asset Investment, Development, and Contracts & Compliance departments on lease-related administration, including Section 20 notices, sinking funds, ground rents, and service charge budgets.
  • Ensuring stock condition surveys and works are carried out per lease requirements.
  • Maintaining keys and records for leasehold and shared ownership portfolios.
  • Liaising with other departments regarding building insurance claims.
  • Promoting best practices in leasehold management.
  • Handling complaints in line with group policies.
