The Role

As a Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods, maintaining warehouse standards, and supporting production operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Counterbalance and/or Pivot Forklift Trucks
  • Move raw materials and finished products throughout the site
  • Ensure accurate booking-in and despatch of goods
  • Follow all health and safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure efficient operations
  • Uphold quality standards and site procedures
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Undertake additional duties as required to support business objectives

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Valid Counterbalance or Pivot Forklift Licence
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and self-motivated attitude
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 25kg
  • Comfortable standing and working throughout a shift
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

  • COSHH training
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and food handling practices
  • Experience working with HACCP procedures
  • Understanding of safety practices within a food manufacturing environment
