The Role
As an HGV Refuse & Recycling Driver, you will
- Drive a pre-planned collection route alongside your team of Loaders.
- Collect waste and recycling from residential and commercial properties.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks before commencing your route.
- Ensure your vehicle is clean, safe and ready for work each day.
- Act as a professional representative of the Environmental Services team within the local community.
- Work safely and efficiently to meet operational targets and service standards.
- Support your team to deliver an efficient and reliable collection service.

To be successful in this role, you will
- Hold a valid Class 1 or Class 2 HGV Licence.
- Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Be reliable, hardworking and safety conscious.
- Be physically fit due to the nature of the role.
- Have a positive attitude and excellent team-working skills.
- Be willing to support colleagues and go the extra mile to ensure routes are completed successfully.
