Join Our Team as a Refuse and Recycling Collector! Are you passionate about keeping your community clean and sustainable? Do you have a valid HGV Class 2 driving licence and a knack for teamwork? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client in the Waste Management industry as a Refuse and Recycling Collector!

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM

What You'll Be Doing: As a crucial member of our team, you'll carry out daily refuse and recycling collections while ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and safety. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating refuse collection vehicles and performing refuse loading as needed.
  • Utilising in-cab technology and mobile devices to enhance efficiency.
  • Completing relevant paperwork in real-time to keep accurate records.
  • Conducting daily inspections of machinery and vehicles before and after use.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of all equipment and vehicles.
  • Building and nurturing excellent customer and client relations, especially with members of the public and other motor users.

What You'll Need to Succeed: To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • A valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points).
  • A Driver CPC qualification.
  • A willingness to assist refuse loaders while on your rounds, contributing to team success in meeting service level agreements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with the community effectively.
  • A self-motivated attitude and a readiness to undertake various tasks.
  • A clean driver's licence is desirable for all staff.
  • Previous relevant experience in waste management or a similar field is a plus!
