Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:45 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with Installation & Assembly: Support plumbers with fitting fresh water and waste systems in caravans. Help install sinks, showers, toilets, and basic plumbing fixtures. Assist with routing, cutting, and securing piping (PEX, PVC, copper) under supervision.
- Testing & Quality Support: Help carry out basic leak checks and report issues to the lead plumber. Support quality inspections by preparing materials and equipment.
- General Site Support: Work alongside plumbers, electricians, and joiners to ensure smooth workflow. Follow instructions from qualified plumbers and team leaders. Prepare tools, materials, and work areas for daily tasks.
- Health & Safety: Follow all site safety procedures and PPE requirements. Keep work areas clean, safe, and well-organised.
- Documentation & Reporting: Report defects, material shortages, or issues to supervisors. Assist with simple record-keeping where required (e.g. noting completed tasks).
Requirements
- Previous experience as a plumber's mate or in a plumbing/maintenance support role required.
- Basic understanding of plumbing tools, fittings, and safe working practices.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from qualified plumbers.
- Good teamwork, communication, and reliability.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
