We're recruiting for an experienced and hands-on Installation & Service Engineer to join a well-established and growing engineering team. This role offers a great balance between workshop-based work in Hull and working away on installations, with an approximate 50/50 split. You'll play a key role within the installation team while also supporting service and maintenance activities across customer sites.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out mechanical installation and assembly work both in-house and on-site
  • Supporting full equipment installs across the UK and overseas
  • Assisting with servicing, maintenance, and repairs of equipment
  • Diagnosing faults and delivering effective, timely solutions
  • Reading and interpreting engineering and electrical drawings
  • Supporting basic electrical panel wiring and panel build work
  • Conducting site surveys, install checks, and commissioning activities
  • Working collaboratively within the shopfloor team in Hull
  • Delivering a high level of customer service when on-site
  • Completing job reports and documentation accurately
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety standards

What We're Looking For

  • Strong mechanical engineering background
  • Previous experience in installation and/or service engineering roles
  • Confident fault-finding and problem-solving ability
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • A professional, reliable, and experienced approach to work
  • Good communication skills and ability to liaise with customers
  • Flexible and willing to work away from home when required
  • Electrical knowledge or experience (advantageous but not essential)

Travel & Working Pattern

  • Approximately 50% workshop-based (Hull) and 50% working away
  • UK travel with regular overnight stays (Monday-Friday when required)
  • Opportunities for international travel
