We are seeking a hardworking, detail‑focused individual to join our production team in HU2. This role combines two main responsibilities - Spray Painting and Glass Laminating - working with high‑quality, bespoke glass products. Experience is desirable, but full training can be provided for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Spray Painting Application
- Prepare glass for spraying, including cleaning, masking, fine‑line taping, and applying vinyl designs
- Spray paint glass panels to a high standard using automotive‑grade systems
- Maintain strong spray‑painting technique with excellent attention to detail
- Mix paints to RAL codes and other colour‑matching systems for bespoke customer requirements
- Read and interpret technical drawings, including frame borders and design layouts
- Inspect and clean finished products to ensure they meet or exceed customer expectations
- Complete paperwork and testing in line with BSI standards
- Keep the work environment clean, safe, and organised
- Glass Laminating
- Prepare glass for laminating (cleaning, inspection, dimension checks, effects checks)
- Apply the appropriate interlayer to the glass
- Operate laminating machinery safely and efficiently
- Clean and inspect laminated glass to ensure it meets required standards
- Complete all BSI‑compliant paperwork and testing
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area
- Other Duties
- The successful candidate may also be required to support other tasks across the factory. A flexible, proactive approach and a positive, can‑do attitude are essential.
Shift Patterns
- Available shifts include:
- 05:00 - 12:30
- 13:00 - 20:30
- 21:30 - 05:00
We are mainly looking to fill a Night Shift position, but all shifts are available for the right candidate. (Early and Late shifts operate on rotation. Night shift is normally fixed with a dedicated team.)
