The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

The post holder will work flexibly to respond to the changing demands of the Health and Safety Office. Responsibilities will include supporting the Health & Safety Office to facilitate meetings, organise training, maintain databases, and update web and intranet pages.

Maintain the Health & Safety Office email inbox, logging information, dealing with low-level issues and ensuring effective follow up actions. Record information on the Accident, Incident and Near Misses database, ensuring timely updates, data accuracy and effective sharing of key information with the Health & Safety Office. Administering invoices.

Support in the administration of the health and safety policies, procedures, codes of practice and guidance documents. Manage administrative arrangements for first aiders and fire marshals, and work with external advisers to support best practice in fire safety and first aid provision. Maintain and accurately record training records and administer the e-learning software (iHASCO). Update the health and safety website and intranet pages.

Provide administrative support for both the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Committee and the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Operational Group, including arranging meetings, preparing agendas and papers, taking minutes, and monitoring and tracking actions. Support the diary management of the Health & Safety Office. Support the Health & Safety Office in championing wellbeing across the University, including assisting with campaigns and the production of associated communications and information. Promote a positive health and safety culture by supporting staff, students and others on health, safety and wellbeing matters.

Provide administrative cover for the other areas of the Governance & Compliance team. Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required within the scope of the role. Maintain the highest standards of professional performance. Demonstrate a personal commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring equal opportunities are embedded within all aspects of work. Participate in performance review and development processes. Maintain and update professional skills through training and development activities.
