Our client, a leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Senior Project Engineer to join their team from October 2026 to February 2028. - Pay Rate: £32.00 - £38.00 per hour
- Hours: 37.5 per week all onsite Monday to Thursday 8 - 4.45 and Friday 8 - 12.30
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate new product development projects within engineering.
- Facilitate cross-departmental support to ensure project success.
- Monitor and advise on project progress and performance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding project status.
- Schedule engineering and documentation deliverables to align with programme plans.
- Provide essential administrative and organisational support for engineers and programme management.
- Adapt to shifting priorities and diverse duties in a flexible role.
Essential Responsibilities Include:
- Create and manage the engineering development plan for key project milestones.
- Conduct internal meetings to introduce awarded projects to engineering and other departments.
- Collaborate with customers to secure information and decisions for design schedules.
- Coordinate supporting activities for engineering development, including documentation and qualification schedules.
- Monitor adherence to sales contracts and manage scope changes.
- Provide stakeholders with updates on product and project status throughout lifecycles.
- Generate detailed reports and dashboards to illustrate project progress, including agreed KPIs.
- Participate in key project milestones and attend customer sites as necessary, potentially involving international travel.
- Assist the programme manager in enhancing project control and reporting.
- Facilitate record-keeping of customer specifications and drive verification and validation to meet programme requirements.
