Adecco are delighted to be recruiting for a Customer Service Coordinator to join a well-established and reputable organisation based in Harwich. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong customer service and logistics experience to join a collaborative and fast-paced team.

The Role

The main purpose of this role is to deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers within commercial guidelines. You will be responsible for processing customer orders, coordinating with key stakeholders, and ensuring smooth delivery of goods in line with agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process all customer orders using the company's order management system
  • Manage a variety of orders including domestic, European and export
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with customers regarding order progress and delivery updates
  • Work closely with sales, production teams, and logistics providers to ensure timely and complete deliveries
  • Coordinate documentation to support order fulfilment and minimise business risk
  • Handle customer complaints and service issues, ensuring a full resolution and feedback process
  • Maintain and update customer records and databases to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure all compliance documentation, including HMRC approvals, is correctly recorded
  • Liaise with hauliers to arrange bookings and raise required paperwork
  • Provide support across the wider customer service team where required

About You

  • Proven experience within customer service and/or logistics
  • Strong understanding of Order to Cash (OTC) processes, ideally using SAP
  • Export experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage customer expectations effectively
  • Strong team player with a proactive and flexible approach
  • Quick learner with the ability to use initiative
  • Additional language skills would be beneficial
