We are seeking a Training Specialist to join a leading diagnostics provider as part of their Near Patient Care team. This is a field‑based role across Scotland, supporting Trusts with the implementation of innovative blood glucose and ketone testing solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Deliver engaging, high‑quality training to customers across Scotland on near patient care and handheld diagnostic devices.
  • Record and document all training activities in line with company quality standards and compliance requirements.
  • Support customers with training‑related enquiries, including installation, product usage and basic troubleshooting.
  • Assist with hardware and software implementation during product launches and upgrades.
  • Become a trusted partner for clinical and technical staff through on‑site training, support and guidance. This field‑based role includes regular travel, with some overnight stays and occasional out‑of‑hours work as required. Initial training and occasional meetings will take place at the company’s UK head office in West Sussex.
Who We’re Looking For

Based in Scotland—ideally near Lanarkshire or Glasgow—you’ll be motivated, proactive and confident working across clinical environments. You should enjoy autonomy, be highly organised, and feel comfortable instructing and guiding healthcare professionals.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Strong scientific understanding (practical and theoretical) within a clinical or medical environment.
  • Excellent communication, time management and decision‑making skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Living in Scotland with easy access to key Trusts.
  • Full UK / EU driving licence.
  • Passport for occasional international training.
  • Fluent verbal and written English.
Desirable Skills
  • Degree‑level education (or equivalent).
  • Nursing or clinical background.
  • Experience working within Primary or Secondary Care.
  • Involvement in delivering tailored training programmes.
  • Knowledge of medical analytical systems, QA processes or CRM tools.
  • On‑site customer support and troubleshooting experience.
  • Familiarity with the diagnostics or medical device industry.
