ABOUT THE ROLE:
Are you looking for a temporary summer role where no two days are the same? We are currently looking for a Housekeeper to join a busy student accommodation site over the summer period. You'll play an important role in helping to ensure the accommodation and communal areas are clean, safe, welcoming and maintained to a high standard for residents, visitors and staff. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in their work and is happy to get stuck in wherever needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation across student accommodation.
- Cleaning bedrooms, communal areas, kitchens, corridors, stairwells and other shared facilities.
- Carrying out deep cleans and turnaround cleans when required.
- Identifying and reporting any damage, maintenance issues or missing items.
- Supporting the housekeeping, maintenance and wider site teams with day-to-day tasks.
- Ensuring cleaning materials and supplies are used safely and appropriately.
- Following all relevant health & safety procedures and site guidelines.
- Responding professionally and courteously to resident and customer queries.
- Working efficiently to meet daily cleaning schedules and deadlines.
- Adapting to changing priorities during busy periods.
About You:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Friendly and approachable, with a positive can-do attitude.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
- Organised, with excellent attention to detail.
- Physically fit and comfortable being on your feet for the majority of the working day.
- Confident communicating with residents, colleagues and site teams.
- Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks.
- Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality, facilities, hotels, residential properties or student accommodation is desirable but not essential.
