About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Material Demand Planner to join a leading rail industry organisation based in Goole. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner with a background in materials, production, supply chain, or demand planning who enjoys working with forecasting systems, data analysis, and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will be responsible for forecasting material demand, scheduling inventory requirements, and ensuring the availability of materials to support production activities and fleet maintenance programmes. You will work closely with planning, operations, projects, and supply chain teams to deliver accurate forecasts, optimise inventory levels, and improve planning processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate material demand forecasts across multiple fleets and projects.
- Analyse data from various sources to identify trends and create reliable demand plans.
- Plan and schedule materials to support production schedules and overhaul activities.
- Work closely with operational teams, project managers, and materials control teams to ensure material availability.
- Monitor inventory requirements and support effective inventory management strategies.
