Adecco are pleased to be recruiting for a Force Information Risk Assurer to work within the Thames Valley Police Force.

Location: Kidlington, driving may be required; a Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: £24.46 per hour

End Date: March 2027

Working Pattern: Full-Time Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, 9am to 5pm.

Please note this role will be subject to Police Vetting; you must have resided within the UK for a minimum of 5 years.

About the Role

As a Force Information Risk Assurer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accreditation and compliance of our forces' systems with legal, national, and local Information Assurance requirements. You'll work closely with our Information Assurance Manager and have the opportunity to contribute to the Cyber Security Strategy while ensuring the security of forces' information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accreditation of forces' systems and ensure compliance with standards such as the Cyber Security Strategy.
  • Identify information and physical security risks, proposing recommendations for mitigation.
  • Contribute to the development and testing of ICT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans.
  • Develop and deliver guidance, user education, and operational procedures to support the Cyber Security Strategy.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to enhance adherence to information assurance standards.
  • Advise on security requirements for new and existing ICT systems, ensuring controls are effective and proportionate.
  • Assist the forces' Accreditor by preparing and reviewing security design documents and risk assessments.
  • Represent the Information Assurance Manager at local, regional, and national meetings as required.

What We're Looking For

  • An appropriate qualification or significant experience in Data Protection, Information Assurance, Risk Management, or IT Security.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Practical experience in Information Assurance and/or Information Security.
  • A technical understanding of IT systems and risk management processes, including familiarity with Cloud and Mobile technologies.
  • A high degree of integrity and trust while dealing with sensitive information.
  • The ability to work under pressure, manage your workload, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential for travel to various locations across the forces.
