We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Senior Extra Care Officer to join our team at Bristol Court, a thriving Extra Care Housing scheme in Feltham. This is a full-time, site-based position providing cover for a secondment. Please note that remote working is not available, and the successful candidate will be required to work on-site five days per week.
About the Service
Bristol Court is a specialist Extra Care Housing scheme consisting of 94 self-contained flats supporting residents aged 18 and over, including:
- Older people
- People living with dementia
- Individuals with learning disabilities
- Individuals with mental health needs
Our aim is to help residents maintain their independence while ensuring they feel safe, supported, and connected within their community.
About the Role
As Senior Extra Care Officer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality housing management and tenancy support services. Working closely with the Housing Management team, you will support residents throughout their tenancy journey while helping maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-managed housing environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing tenancy sign-ups and supporting new residents to settle into their homes
- Handling tenancy-related enquiries and providing housing advice
- Supporting rent account monitoring and tenancy sustainment activities
- Assisting residents with housing, welfare, and benefits-related issues
- Managing and resolving low-level anti-social behaviour cases
- Supporting tenants to report repairs and resolve day-to-day housing matters
- Promoting tenant responsibilities and compliance with tenancy agreements
- Maintaining accurate tenancy records and related documentation
- Working collaboratively with care providers, partners, and internal teams
- Responding to emergencies and supporting health and safety compliance across the scheme
- Supporting the line management of Concierge Officers and ensuring service standards are maintained
About You
We are looking for an experienced housing professional with a strong understanding of tenancy management and a passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable residents.
You will have:
- Experience working within housing management, supported housing, or Extra Care Housing environments
- Knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy management, and safeguarding principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with residents, colleagues, and partner agencies
- Strong IT skills and confidence using digital systems
- Experience managing challenging situations and resolving problems effectively
- A proactive, organised, and customer-focused approach
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a team
- Previous experience within an Extra Care Housing setting is highly desirable.
