My client, a global telecoms company, is looking for an experienced External Reporting Manager to join their Group Finance function on a 6 month contract. You will play a key part in the company's statutory and external reporting process, ensuring that all financial statements and disclosures are accurate, compliant, and delivered to a high standard. This is a hands-on position involving end-to-end reporting and collaboration with senior finance stakeholders and auditors.
- Prepare and review sections of annual and interim financial statements
- Support the quarterly external reporting cycle
- Work closely with consolidation, technical accounting, and audit teams
- Review complex and judgemental disclosure areas (e.g., provisions, financial instruments, related parties, contingent liabilities)
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity across all published financial information
- Check and verify that all disclosures are fully compliant with IFRS
- Contribute to improvements in reporting processes, controls, and documentation
Essential Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong background in external reporting and financial statements preparation
- Experience of annual reports and financial statements
- Solid understanding of complex disclosure requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical capability
- Able to work under pressure during reporting cycles
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with auditors and senior stakeholders
Desirable Experience
- Big 4 experience
- Exposure to group audits, FTSE-level reporting
- Experience reviewing detailed technical disclosures
